Why is a donor's ACH donation still pending?
When a donor chooses to set up an ACH donation they need to verify their bank account. To confirm their bank account they need to go through a verification process. From Stripe they will receive 2 micro-deposits within 4-48 hours. To confirm their bank account they will enter in the amounts of the micro-deposits in their Hopsie Donor Dashboard (they will receive an email that directs them to this section of the site).
From the admin you also have access to confirm their donations on their behalf. you can do so by following these steps:
- Log into the Hopsie Admin
- Search for the pending ACH donation that needs to be confirmed and select the donation
- Click the complete donation button
- Obtain and enter the 2 microdeposit amounts from your donor
- Click the verify donation button
If your donor does not see the micro-deposits it is for one of 2 reasons they either put in the wrong bank account information or the deposits landed into their account and they did not view them soon enough.
